About the CompTIA Network+ Exam (N10-009)
Exam Format
The N10-009 exam has a maximum of 90 questions including 3-7 performance-based questions (PBQs) — the most PBQs of any CompTIA exam. You have 90 minutes. PBQs appear first and include subnetting, ACL configuration, and network topology tasks. Passing score is 720 on a scaled 100-900 scale.
OSI Model — The Backbone
The OSI model underpins nearly every Network+ question. Know all 7 layers cold — what operates at each, encapsulation order, and common protocols/devices per layer. Use our OSI matching PBQ lab to drill this until it's automatic. Subnetting and CIDR calculation are the second most-tested concept.
How Our Mocks Work

Most Common PBQ Topics
